The 2010 rugby league season will see the Australian Fijian side begin the year playing in a number of 7’s style tournaments throughout New South Wales, followed by a hiatus during the regular season for players to concentrate on club commitments. This will see us finish the year with a possible World Cup Curtain Raisers and a tour to Great Britain. 2010 will offer more exposure than any other year before. With Rugby League being in it’s centenary year and a World Cup being held here in Australia interest in Rugby League has never been bigger. This with a playing schedule for the AFRL that will include an U/16’s tournament sanctioned by the NSWRL for Pacific Islanders and indigenous nations, a possible World Cup curtain raiser and a tour to Great Britain. Never before have we been able to offer so much exposure to potential sponsors through these fixtures.

Below is the list of our playing and function schedule for 2009 - 2010:

October 2009
Australian Fijians v Fiji Residents 5,000 expected
NSWRL U/16’s Develpment Cup 5,000 expected

As you can see, it is a busy year and one full of promise both on and off the field, in which players and officials are treating with upmost prestige and optimism.
