JUNIOR ROQICA named in Australian Schoolboys Squad

The Australian Fijian Rugby League would like to congratulate Junior Roqica on representing the New South Wales Catholic Colleges and being named in the 2008 Australian Schoolboys Squad. Junior Roqica who is contracted to the Wests Tigers club now joins fellow other Australian Fijians in Peni Tagive (also of the Wests Tigers) and Akuila Uate ( Newcastle Knights) who have made the prestigious team in recent years.

Balmain Tigers Education and Development Manager – Football David Kelly said “Junior and fellow Tigers player Aaron Woods successfully represented the NSW Combined Catholic Colleges at the recent Australian Schoolboys Championships in Darwin. Both players have progressed through our Junior League and our Development Program. Congratulations to both players and their families.”

The AFRL is very proud of Junior’s efforts in making this team and this achievement will hopefully inspire more young Fijian’s playing Rugby League here in Australia. The AFRL is hopeful of being able to have Junior available for selection for their tour of Great Britain in November.
