AFRL launch membership package with Kali Meehan new AFRL Membership Ambassador

The AFRL yesterday officially launched it membership package with #1 WBA Heavyweight Title contender Kali Meehan announced as Membership Ambassador.
 
The AFRL finalised its membership package yesterday at its monthly board meeting at Mascot RSL last night and Chairman James Pickering urged all board members to really get behind the push.
 
“As I’ve mentioned already at the AGM membership is the backbone to all footy clubs these days particularly in this tough economic climate. We have unofficially been signing up members amongst our players, staff and board but now that Steve has put the package together along with a few other things that needed to be in place we are ready to put it out into the community.”
 
Steve Driscoll also confirmed to the board that Kali Meehan will officially fly the AFRL Membership flag to help attract members and hit our target of 500 by the end of twelve months.
 
“Using Kali as our Membership Ambassador may be seen by certain people as a stand over tactic given Kali is the number one ranked heavyweight in the world at the moment” Driscoll said jokingly at the meeting yesterday.
 
“The real reason we wanted Kali to help push with the membership is that he is like every other parent who believes that organisations like the AFRL help keep kids out of trouble and provide opportunity for Fijians that normally wouldn’t present itself. The way he spoke about all of this at the Petero Civinoceva Medal Night earned him a standing ovation and we just thought he was the right person to help us drive this critical part of our revenue stream. We honestly believe Kali is the sort of bloke that would be ideal to talk to any football or sporting team not to mention the benefit that his boxing training would bring also. He is everything the AFRL stands for and is the perfect role model just as Petero Civinoceva is and we are very grateful that he is on board with us in an this capacity.”
 
The AFRL membership package is $20 for senior members (AFRL Membership Form and Mascot RSL membership form to be completed) and $14.50 for Junior Members (AFRL Membership Form only to be filled out).
 
The membership package consists of:
 
- Mascot RSL Membership card with AFRL Logo displayed in corner of card. (AFRL
       Senior members only)
- Discount of drinks, meals and all promo’s and events staged by Mascot RSL.
-  Discounted drinks at all AFRL events at Mascot RSL.
-  10% discount received off all AFRL merchandise.
- Exclusive entry into AFRL member’s only lucky door prizes at AFRL functions and events.
- Full voting rights at AFRL Annual General Meeting (AFRL Senior members only).
- Available to special offers made to AFRL members through the AFRL’s family of sponsors.
- All Press Releases, E-news and Updates to be sent directly to members via email.
- All memberships valid for twelve months with expiry date listed on Membership Card.
