Fijian National Rugby League call for expressions of interest for Fiji Bati, Junior Bati and Fiji Residents positions.
The Fiji National Rugby League has called for expressions of interest for positions with the Fiji Bati, Junior Bati and Fiji Residents teams. With the Fiji Residents tour to Samoa fast approaching the job for the Fiji Residents holds priority at the moment with the Fiji Bati and Junior Bati jobs both to be announced at a later date.
New FNRL General Manager Steve Mclellan spoke of the importance of getting the Residents job sorted quickly when returning to Fiji with the all conquering Fiji Secondary schools team.
“With the Residents tour to Samoa fast approaching we need to get that organized pretty quickly when we get back to Fiji. That with our inaugural Fiji tri-series to be held in September/October involing the NZ Fijians and Australian Fijians our Residents job is of up most importance.” said Mclellan.
“The Fiji Bati and Junior Bati jobs will be selected in conjunction with recommendations from our advisory committee from made up from our reps in Fiji, Australia and NZ with the final decision to be made by the FNRL board. All applications and cases will be heard and the best man for the job will be appointed.”

Fiji Bati Trainer
Fiji Residents Head Coach
Fiji Residents Manager
Fiji Residents Trainer
Junior Bati Coach
Junior Bati Manager
Junior Bati Trainer
Essential Criteria
All persons applying for Coaching Positions must possess a minimum of Senior Club Coach [ARL Level 2] or its equivalent
All persons applying for Trainers Positions must possess a minimum of ARL FAO/ Sports Trainer Level 1 or its equivalent.
Accreditation must be current, and a photocopy of accreditation should be included with application.
All persons applying for Managers positions should have a demonstrated history of managing teams, be able to work to tight timeframes and be well versed in report writing.
Desirable Criteria
ARL High Performance Coaching Certificate [Level 3] or its equivalent
ARL Level 2 FAO/ Sports Trainer or its equivalent.
